In June 2009, Esther Nyaga traveled to Kenya with her daughters and visited Toto Love Children’s home, a home for orphans living with HIV/AIDS. Esther has raised significant amounts of money to support Toto Love through her singing. Two photos from her trip appear in a photo essay in the New York Times online! The essay is to raise awareness of global poverty’s effects on women and children around the world. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2009/08/26/magazine/20090826-a-womens-world-reader-photos.html The photos are in the middle of the very bottom row and have the name “Lizzie” (her daughter, the photographer).
